Many travelers to Belize are surprised about the lack of quality of the Belizes. Because of the barrier reef that runs along most of the coast of Belize most areas of the Belize coasts see very little surf and the water depths are quite shallow. #3 The heavily traveled tourist spots in the northern Cayes are typically not the best beach spots.
